YouTube Scriptwriter (English)

Planet Wild is a series A-funded, B-corp-certified, environmental startup from Berlin. But more importantly, it’s a global community that uses the power of digital storytelling to fix our planet - IRL. Think Greenpeace for Generation YouTube.

Every month, we go out on a mission to clean up oceans, replant forests, and bring back endangered species. Funded by a global community of everyday individuals, and executed together with rewilding pioneers around the globe, we are working at the frontlines to help nature bounce back.

What does that look like? In the last year, we went out to bring Europe's largest land animal back from extinction, clean up the ocean floor at 40 meters depth, save dolphins from mass tourism, protect Elephants with the help of bees, repopulate wild lynx in Germany, plant hundreds of food forests, rewild rivers, train guerilla wildfire fighters, and reintroduce Europe's cutest bird back to its former home.

Sounds like something you could get behind? Great! We’re expanding our team and looking for an experienced YouTube scriptwriter (English). We're seeking someone with proven experience in YouTube scriptwriting, capable of crafting engaging content that captivates audiences worldwide.

Key responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for writing captivating YouTube scripts for our monthly missions

• Collaborate with our production team to develop engaging YouTube content for a new environmental protection initiative each month

• Undertake thorough independent research to gather information on designated topics.

• Conduct interviews with our partner organizations for additional background information.

• Meticulously revise scripts after filming on location to prepare them for the edit

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of successful YouTube content creation

• Strong understanding of the YouTube and social media landscape in general

• Versatility to adapt writing to data insights 

• High level of creativity paired with originality and great attention to detail

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members

• Willingness to stay updated on algorithm changes and emerging best practices in YouTube content creation

• Native English-speaker
